this year.



  • Space to Sew and Craft

    Location: Penicuik, Midlothian,

    Space to Sew and Craft offers a wide range of sewing classes and craft workshops. Alongside our spacious workshop area, we have a well-stocked shop area with sewing supplies; haberdashery; fabrics; large range of patterns, by McCalls, Butterick, Vogue and Kwik Sew; Knitting/crochet supplies and needle-felting supplies. We also have regular drop-in sewing sessions (no tuition), on Mon/Wed/Fri mornings, for anyone who’d like to use our machines and tools, enjoy the workspace, make new friends and just indulge in some quality ‘me’ time. Free refreshments of coffee/tea/juice and biscuits!

  • The Faff Room

    The Faff Room offers a wide range of classes and workshops for all level of abilities and age ranges. Alongside our workshops is a haberdashery shop offering fabrics and supplies, a full range of Butterick, Simplicity, New Look and McCall patterns. We have a tearoom and sweetie shop with lots of lovely goodies. We offer a wide range of afterschool and holiday clubs for children aged 6 to 11 years alongside our Little Faff Session for children aged 3 to 7 years.
    You can simply come along and Faff in our sewing workshop and take advantage of our sewing machines and large space to layout your projects.

    Stitched By You is here to help get you on the road to creating beautiful pieces. From dressmaking to free hand machine embroidery we offer lots of courses for beginners through to advanced in our haberdashery shop in Alton, Hampshire. We have highly skilled, passionate tutors who are ready to pass on their love of sewing to you. Workshops are limited to a maximum of 5 pupils and include some delicious refreshments.   • Saturday Sewing Session

    Saturday Sewing Session is located in Chelsea SW London and offers a variety of sewing workshops and 1-2-1 tuition throughout the week and at the weekend. We cater for total beginners to the more advanced in our lovely little studio. Classes are taught by specialists in their field ranging from Costume makers, Milliners, Fashion and Lingerie designers and makers, Pattern Cutters and Dancewear seamstresses.

    Student numbers are kept low in each class so that you get maximum tuition and everything is taught over a brew or a glass of bubbly!

    Courses and workshops include:

    • Learn to use a sewing machine
    • Dressmaking
    • Dressmaking Essentials – Zips and understanding commercial patterns
    • Introduction to pattern cutting
    • Alterations – Hand and machine
    • Working with specialist materials Inc. leather, fur and Jersey

    Classes are taught in our lovely working studio or at your home/ chosen venue. We also offer Hen Parties, Childrens  Parties, Baby showers and can cater for any special occasion or get together. We also do corporate events. We’ll get you stitching in no time!


  • Sew n Reap

    Professional sewing lessons from a qualified and experienced teacher.

    Over 20 years sewing experience, a fashion degree and lots of teaching experience including teaching MMU Textiles students as well as my own students.

  • Creative Stitchers

    Creative Stitchers is located near Knutsford, Cheshire and offers a variety of sewing workshops, courses and 1-2-1 tuition, from the basics to the more advanced. Classes are taught by Sue who has a lifetime of sewing experience and is also a member of the Guild of Master Craftsman.

    Student numbers are kept low in each class so that you get maximum tuition.
