The Fashion Loop is an Bedfordshire based Fashion, Design & Sewing School. We specialise in delivering classes for adults and children that focus on the technical aspects of garment making primarily.

We deliver:

• Pattern Cutting Courses that teach students how to design a clothing pattern from scratch and to custom measurements. This course includes block making, dart manipulation, pattern drafting as well as how to replicate patterns from an existing garment

 

• Children’s sewing classes – we run 1 and 2-day sewing workshops for children and teach them how to operate a  (Janome) sewing machine, overlocker and a semi-industrial iron like a pro. We build their technical skills and confidence so they are able to bring their creativity into reality. During the 2-day workshop, the students make a garment encompassing the new skills they have learnt. The smiles on the students after 2-days of hard work and wearing their creations are priceless!

 

• Beginners Adult sewing classes: Our 10-week course takes you from a novice to a confident level where you can produce simple projects independently. We teach you all the essential basics of sewing, correct any bad habits, teach you how to thread and operate a domestic overlocker.

 

This course is full of skill building exercises and demo’s. Our class sizes are restricted to 4 per class allowing plenty tutor interaction.

 

We have a Janome 725s sewing machine available for each student
